Aurora specialises in comprehensive family care, supporting women and families from pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through to infant and children’s health. Her journey into maternal care began personally. After welcoming her daughter at 43, she faced unexpected postpartum challenges that became her calling. Through her own healing journey, she discovered her passion for supporting women through the profound transition into motherhood and beyond.
Aurora believes becoming a mother is one of life’s most sacred rites of passage deserving comprehensive support. Understanding that the nervous system is constantly scanning for safety, and that during pregnancy and early parenthood it can become hypervigilant – affecting how women experience birth, bond with their baby, and navigate daily challenges – this nervous system connection is central to her approach.
As a naturopath working in family health, Aurora is a trained birth and postnatal doula with specialised training in the Possums Program (Neuroprotective Developmental Care) with Dr Pamela Douglas. This evidence-based approach supports breastfeeding, sleep, and unsettled infant behavior while recognising the vital connection between infant wellbeing and maternal mental health. She also supports couples through major early parenthood transitions and is currently studying to be a Somatic Educator with the Women’s Somatic Institute. She also draws on her 200hr yoga teacher training to incorporate embodied practices for nervous system regulation.
Understanding that children’s nervous systems and immune systems are constantly developing, Aurora provides gentle, foundational support that works with natural growth patterns. She integrates nutritional medicine, herbal therapeutics, and evidence-based wellness practices with traditional approaches. Her trauma-informed perspective recognises that supporting child health also means supporting parental confidence and intuition, empowering families with evidence-based information and practical tools that align with their values.
Aurora holds a Bachelor of Naturopathy from Southern Cross University (2012) and has worked as a senior naturopath at Santos Organics. Since 2020, she has been a permanent practitioner at Mullum Herbals. Her comprehensive approach meets families exactly where they are, whether planning ahead during pregnancy and birth or seeking support during the intense early months of motherhood and beyond.
