Here at Mullumbimby Herbals we stock an extensive range of Organic where possible high grade herbal and naturopathic medicines.
To ensure the optimum strength of our herbal preparations we source the fresh herbs where possible from dedicated local organic growers and we manufacture most of our own tinctures using traditional and time tested techniques as well as incorporating the latest and most effective extraction techniques. For our other products we choose suppliers who have a demonstrated commitment to quality and ethics.

Meet the team at Mullum Herbals :
Established Mullum Herbals in 1994 to provide an affordable primary health care service using naturopathic modalities. Since then the business has thrived and grown to include a number of experienced and diverse practitioners. Val is an experienced practitioner whom spent 8 years working at Southern Cross University supervising senior students in clinical practice.
Within Mullum Herbals Val is largely responsible for the manufacture of our herbal tinctures and administering business affairs. In practice Val has a solid understanding of medical conditions and implements a practical approach using herbal medicine and nutrition as his main therapeutic modalities.

The third owner Jacinta, along with Val and Elvian, built and nourished Mullum Herbals from a little shop into the thriving Health centre it is today.Jacinta’s caring and professional approach has touched and enhanced the lives of many over the 18 years she has dedicated to the business.
As well as working at Mullum Herbals she lectures widely and runs workshops on health and well-being. Specialising in Ayurvedic medicine, Jacinta is passionate about helping people find balance and health in mind, body and spirit.
Jacinta offers individual consultations and treatments, is a part of the herbal manufacturing team, and works on the shop front. These days she also provides skype or phone information sessions for a non-local health care option. With a background of Nursing, training in Western Herbal medicine and Ayurveda, Jacinta incorporates these modalities to provide a unique and sought after health care approach.
Around 30yrs ago Elvian found herself step parent to 3 young children
The question “Where is the Handbook to parenthood?” arose for her. Finding there was not one, she began her study of Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Homeopathy. Elvian also has 2 children of her own and many others that call for her wisdom.
She has been using her extensive experience to help families and community with everyday health and lifestyle guidance since this time.
An owner of Mullum Herbals for 20yrs, Elvian has also worked extensively with boys and girls rites of passage and co- founded the Pathways to Womanhood program.Elvian believes in an integrated approach to health care using Natural remedies alongside allopathic medicine where required.
Graduated from Southern Cross University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Naturopathy.
She has been a valued member of the Mullumbimby Herbals team for 12 years. Using her knowledge, skills, and life experience, Lesley serves the community both over the counter and in personal consultations. An excellent remedial and deep tissue massage therapist she is also Attuned to Rekii energy healing, and other body balancing skills. She draws on her experience in Indonesia as a community teacher, running her own pre-school, as well her compassion and experience acquired as a mother and grandmother.
She is a dedicated and passionate practitioner, using all the skills of her University training to get results for her clients. Her treatments consider the underlying cause of dis-ease not just the presenting symptoms. Lesley uses Homeopathy, Herbal medicine, Nutrition as a medicine and bush flower remedies. Harnessing the power of nature to treat young and old, male and female.
Gabrielle’s passion for natural medicine began at a young age and has evolved into a singular pursuit throughout life. She graduated from the Sydney College of Natural Therapies in the 1980’s, specialising in herbal medicine, nutrition, homeopathy and body work. Gabrielle has employed this wealth of Naturopathic knowledge over a diverse career and in raising a healthy and wholesome family.
She has a commitment to continual education and draws inspiration from current research and innovative functional medicine. Her specialised interests involve treating chronic illnesses, autoimmune conditions and endocrine imbalances via a nurturing, patient-centred approach. Joining Mullum Herbals in 2011, Gabrielle has become an integral member of our team, delivering accessible health options to the community.
ND, DBM, MATMS
Michele completed her naturopathy training at Nature Care College, Sydney in 1999. She practised as a naturopath at Herbal Solutions and the City Apothecary in Sydney. She moved to the Northern Rivers in 2003 and joined Mullumbimby Herbals. In 2008 Michele moved to Europe where she studied with the Institute for Optimal Nutrition. She returned to Australia in 2012 and continues to work as a Naturopath with Mullumbimby Herbals. Michele is passionate about herbal medicine and nutrition, and their role in healing. She is excited to see the growing acceptance of natural medicine and very happy to be using her knowledge to help people on their healing journeys.
